Greetings all….I thought it fitting to remind you that legend has it that we owe tomorrows holiday to the life and legacy of a clergyman who willfully refused to follow the empire.
Valentine refused direct orders from Rome not to perform weddings for young men and women.
Emperor Claudius II thought that single men made better soldiers. He secretly did however and paid for it with his life when Claudius found out.
On a similar note it was another preacher named Henry Ward Beecher who said; “I never really learned to worship until I learned to love.” Something to think about. Hope your day is a reminder of how much the Lord truly loves you and our world and because of that has called each of us to make a difference where we are!
