Our last few days in El Salvador

Greetings Calvary family!

Our last few days have been filled with many great moments -- many of which are difficult to express in a blog posting. But we will try! Here is a summary of what we have been up to:

We had a chance to see the panaderia (bakery) that the Jovenes Por La Vida (Youth for Life) have been working on. It was very cool to see that at work and we even had the chance to help make bread and donuts. We took a big box of cookies, bread and donuts out to San Martin later in the day.

We spent a few more days in San Martin, eating lunch and dinner with different families, talking with them and learning about their hopes and the many challenges of life. We spent more time with the youth on Saturday, singing and learning about some of the environmental challenges in El Salvador.

On Sunday, we joined our new friends in San Martin for the church service. We shared some about Calvary and Paul sang with Felipe.

Yesterday we had the chance to go to the beach with many people from the community. We had a great time playing in the giant waves and drinking coconut juice from the fresh coconuts that were cut down from the trees. It was a fantastic day!

Today we are spending our last full day in the country. We will be learning about another ministry with former gang members and saying goodbye to everyone at different gatherings. We look forward to telling you more when we return!

Abrazos,

Paul, John and Linnea
